Haren Leaves Game After Being Struck By Line Drive

Dan Haren was struck by a Kevin Youkilis line drive in his Angels debut on Monday night. Haren, who was struck in his right forearm, was taken out of the game. Haren was pitching well before the injury, delivering eight strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings of work. He left the game with Boston leading the Angels 2-1.

Garza Throws First No-Hitter In Rays History

Rays starter Matt Garza made franchise history on Monday night against the Tigers by throwing a no-hitter at Tropicana Field. Garza struck out six batters and walked just one to enter Tampa Bay's record books. He needed 120 pitches to complete the feat. The Rays entered Major League Baseball as the Devil Rays in 1998. It took them 12 years to notch their first no-hitter. The Mets and Padres are now the only teams in MLB that have not had a pitcher throw a no-hitter.

Wells Takes No-Hitter Into Seventh Inning

The Cubs topped the Reds 3-1 on Saturday as Randy Wells took a no-hitter into the seventh inning. "I was just focused on what I had to do and tried to keep my mind on the game," Wells said. "I wasn't really paying attention to how many guys were left on or anything like that." Wells didn't allow a hit until Chris Heisey's lead-off single in the seventh.
